In 2002, Patrick Galvin cofounded The Galvanizing Group, a brand strategy consulting and marketing company in Portland, Oregon, that helps companies create connections that increase loyalty, referrals, and sales. As the firm’s “chief galvanizer,” he has galvanized the growth of hundreds of businesses, from sole proprietorships to publicly traded companies.
Patrick takes pride in delivering high-quality presentations that have a lasting impact. He has received enthusiastic testimonials for his keynote presentations, breakout sessions, and workshops for organizations throughout the United States, Canada, Latin America and Europe. He also served as president of the Oregon Chapter of the National Speakers Association.

In 2016, Patrick published The Connector’s Way: A Story About Building Business One Relationship at a Time. It is a parable about a struggling business owner who discovers simple yet effective ways to cultivate relationships in the real world and online and uses them to fuel his success.
Patrick earned an MBA in international marketing from Thunderbird, one of the world’s top-ranked international business programs. After graduating, he worked for an industrial and agricultural equipment manufacturer building a profitable sales network throughout Canada and South America where none had existed. He subsequently became president of his family’s furniture stores. Under his leadership, sales rose 300% in three years.
Patrick graduated cum laude from Georgetown University with a BS in Foreign Service. He received a Rotary International Scholarship for postgraduate studies at the University of São Paulo, Brazil. In addition to his native English, he is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
A dog lover, Patrick co-wrote Secrets of a Working Dog: Unleash Your Potential and Create Success, which illustrates how humans can work smarter and be happier, from the perspective of his wise and witty boxer dog, Bella. Publisher’s Weekly called the book “delightful and insightful.”
Patrick is an enthusiastic member of the Rotary Club of Portland where he has served in various leadership positions, including the Trust Board and Travel Fellowship. In 2015, Patrick was a featured speaker at the Rotary International Convention in São Paulo, Brazil.
Patrick and his wife love to travel and have visited 45 countries on every continent except Africa. Patrick, his wife, and their eight-year-old daughter enjoy a variety of outdoor activities in the beautiful Pacific Northwest including hiking, biking, swimming, running, and camping.
